About me

bristowI work at MYOB as Program Manager. I’m accountable for the governance, start-up and delivery of MYOBs product development program comprising 12 software engineering teams in Australia and Malaysia. I do budget forecasting and management, resource planning and team management. I’m all about agile and lean coaching and I’m playing a big role in the company’s ongoing agile transition.

Prior to MYOB, I’ve had leadership roles at SEEK, Aconex and Goldman Sachs JBWere

I’m heavily involved in the lean/agile community and I’m a regular contributor and host for agile events around Melbourne, most recently a successful Agile/UX meetup. In 2012, I was part of a plenary panel discussion at Agile Australia 2012 entitled ‘Agile: Looking Back, Looking Forward: Adapt, Innovate, Collaborate & Deliver’, and I’ve been presenting at national agile and lean conferences since 2009.

Other times I do pro bono web development for StreetSmart Australia and lean/agile coaching, including time at World Vision Australia. I recently featured in some videos (here and here) to promote volunteering for Seek Volunteer.

I’m husband to Bron and father to Tom and Harry.

I ride my bike a lot and I race (occasionally) for the Italo-Australian Cycling Club. See what I’ve been up to on Strava .

If I’m not on my pushie, I’ll be out and about on my Vespa PX200e – if you’re in Melbourne, Australia and you see a red one with lots of blue smoke coming out of it, that’s me.
